TH384 Kabelkupplung männlich 2 polig

The TH384 series joins two leads to each other — both halves sit on the cable, there is no panel mounting. In this version a piercing screw cuts through the core insulation as it is tightened and makes the contact. The series is rated 10 A at 500 V AC.

When piercing?

The advantage is obvious: no stripping, no tool beyond a screwdriver, no individual cores slipping out of place during threading. That saves time during field assembly and makes mistakes less likely.

Worth knowing

There is a trade-off: the blade is designed for a given cross-section range and does not tolerate arbitrary readjustment. Once set, a core should not be clamped repeatedly at the same spot. Where terminals are changed often, the screw version of the series is the better choice.

Which half goes where?

This version combines the cable socket with pin contacts (Ø 26.5 × 55 mm) and the cable plug with socket contacts (Ø 27 × 63 mm). Techno offers the mirrored arrangement as a separate version with reversed contacts.

Pole counts

With piercing termination, 2 and 3-pole versions are available. Cable diameter runs from 7 to 12 mm.

Protection and materials

Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, impact resistance IK07. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced plastic, the contacts brass.
