Description
The UP version of the TH405 series is the Industrial variant: same mating face and same bayonet locking as the standard series, but rated for thicker cables and larger cross-sections.
Reversed contacts
This version is the mirror image: the pin contacts sit in the cable socket, the socket contacts in the cable plug. Which side stays live in operation decides the choice — the touchable pins belong on the side that is dead once disconnected.
What the UP version is for
The gland accepts cables from 10 to 16.5 mm instead of 7 to 13.5 mm. On cross-section, the 2-pole version goes to 6 mm² and the 3-pole to 4 mm².
Pole counts
2, 3 and 5-pole versions are available. The protective earth counts as a pole. The 8-pole version exists only in the standard arrangement.
Protection and materials
Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, rated 17.5 A at 400 V AC. The plastic parts are black, the sealing elements Techno green, the contacts brass.
