What panel thickness can be used?

Up to 7 mm. The mounting nut is included. The cut-out follows the M20 thread.

Do I need a different version for a plastic enclosure?

Yes. For non-conductive enclosures Techno offers the same versions as an NC variant, NC standing for non conductive. The standard version shown here is intended for conductive enclosures.

How do M16, M20 and M25 differ?

Only in panel size. Electrically all three are identical: 25 A at 630 V AC, 0.5 to 2.5 mm², IP66 and IP68.

Which pole counts are available?

2+PE and 3+PE. Techno counts the protective earth as a pole and therefore designates these versions as 3-pole and 4-pole.

Description

The panel-mounted versions of the TH389U series with M20 gland sit in the enclosure wall and accept the matching cable connector from outside. They are rated for 25 A at 630 V AC, with conductor cross-sections from 0.5 to 2.5 mm² — stranded or solid.

Versions

Available as panel plug connector and panel socket connector, each with 2+PE and 3+PE poles. Supplied with a mounting nut; maximum panel thickness is 7 mm. Connection is by screw terminal at 0.8 Nm; strip 6 mm of conductor and 25 mm of sheath.

M20 is the most widely used of the three panel sizes and fits the cut-out many enclosures already provide. Electrically, M16, M20 and M25 are identical.

Metal or plastic enclosure?

This version is intended for installation in conductive enclosures. For plastic enclosures, Techno offers the same versions as an NC variant — short for non conductive. Check which enclosure material you are using before ordering.

Protection and materials

Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, impact resistance IK08. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced PA66 to UL94 V0, the gland PA66 to UL94 V2, the contacts brass. The temperature range runs from −40 to +125 °C with a maximum operating temperature of +70 °C. Tested to EN 61535, with CE and UKCA marking. The seals are silicone.
