Description

The UP version of the TH405 series is the Industrial variant: same mating face and same bayonet locking as the standard series, but rated for thicker cables and larger cross-sections.

What the UP version is for

The gland accepts cables from 10 to 16.5 mm instead of 7 to 13.5 mm. On cross-section, the 2-pole version goes to 6 mm² and the 3-pole to 4 mm². That is the difference that matters when more current has to pass a separation point at the same voltage, or when the cable is sized up for length.

Which half goes where?

This version combines the cable socket with pin contacts and the cable plug with socket contacts. We offer the mirrored arrangement as the reversed-contact version.

Pole counts

2, 3, 5 and 8-pole versions are available. The protective earth counts as a pole.

Protection and materials

Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, rated 17.5 A at 400 V AC. The plastic parts are black, the sealing elements Techno green, the contacts brass.

The standard version for cables up to 13.5 mm is available as TH405 screw, crimp and piercing termination. We assemble other configurations to order. Get in touch.
