Description
The UP version of the TH405 series is the Industrial variant: same mating face and same bayonet locking as the standard series, but rated for thicker cables and larger cross-sections.
Reversed contacts
This version is the mirror image: the pin contacts sit in the cable plug, the socket contacts in the cable socket. Which side stays live in operation decides the choice — the touchable pins belong on the side that is dead once disconnected.
What the UP version is for
The gland accepts cables from 10 to 16.5 mm instead of 7 to 13.5 mm. On cross-section, the 2-pole version goes to 6 mm² and the 3-pole to 4 mm².
Pole counts
2, 3 and 5-pole versions are available. The protective earth counts as a pole. The 8-pole version exists only in the standard arrangement.
Protection and materials
Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, rated 17.5 A at 400 V AC. The plastic parts are black, the sealing elements Techno green, the contacts brass.
The standard version for cables up to 13.5 mm is available as TH405 screw, crimp and piercing termination. We assemble other configurations to order. Get in touch.
