Description

The M16 versions of the TH387 series are the smallest panel-mount option in the range. They are intended for conductive enclosures, pass through an M16 bore and are secured from inside with the supplied nut. Electrically they match the rest of the series: 17.5 A at 500 V AC.

When M16?

The M16 version saves space in the front panel but limits panel thickness to 4 mm — against 7 mm for M20 and M25. The outer diameter of the mating face stays at 23 mm; only the bore gets smaller.

Versions and pole counts

Available as panel plug connector and panel socket connector, each with 2, 3, 4 and 5 poles. Techno does not offer earthed versions in M16 — if you need 2+PE, 3+PE or 4+PE, M20 or M25 is the right choice.

Conductor cross-section depends on the pole count: 0.5 to 2.5 mm² on the 3-pole inserts, 0.25 to 1.5 mm² on the 5-pole inserts.

Protection and materials

Protection rating is IP66 and IP68. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced PA66, the seals TPE, the contacts brass. Halogen-free and silicone-free, with CE and UKCA marking and a UL listing; under UL a deviating current rating of 10 A applies.
