Description
The M20 versions of the TH387 series are intended for installation in conductive enclosures — that is, metal. They pass through a bore and are secured from inside with the supplied nut. Electrically they match the rest of the series: 17.5 A at 500 V AC.
M20 or M20 NC?
Both carry an M20 thread, but they are not the same part. This version belongs in conductive enclosures and allows a panel thickness of up to 7 mm. The NC version (non conductive) is intended for plastic enclosures and is limited to 3.5 mm. Check which enclosure material you are using before ordering — the two are not interchangeable.
Versions and pole counts
Available as panel plug connector and panel socket connector, each with 2, 3, 4 and 5 poles as well as the earthed versions 2+PE, 3+PE and 4+PE. There is also a 5-pole version with the deviating contact marking 1-2-L-N-E, which mates only within its own group.
Conductor cross-section depends on the pole count: 0.5 to 2.5 mm² on the 3-pole inserts, 0.25 to 1.5 mm² on the 5-pole inserts.
Protection and materials
Protection rating is IP66 and IP68, outer diameter 23 mm with a length of 31.75 mm. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced PA66, the seals TPE, the contacts brass. Halogen-free and silicone-free, with CE and UKCA marking and a UL listing; under UL a deviating current rating of 10 A applies.
